Hello from Suffolk, England!

I'am pleased to join your Forum of like minded individuals,

I have been a Fuego nut for some time and have just purchased a 84 Turbo for restoration, this will be Fuego No 5! altough it has been 10 yeras since  I last owned one.

My new turbo needs some TLC, she has rot in the A pillars to be sorted and rather a nasty dent in the rear quarter panel so should provide many hours of entertainment in the coming months, I will keep you all posted on progress.

If any one out there has some good front wings available please feel free to contact me!, its virtually impossible to get any spares here in the UK anymore especially body parts, in fact I have not seen another Fuego on the roads for at least 10 years.

I do have a trailer full of spares so I may be able to help some one out also.

I have just aquired the Renault Microfiches for this car and am now looking to get them loaded on to CD as PDFs when available I will make this freely available to anybody who wants it.

Regards

Dale

Welcome Dale-it is a slow process but Forum is growing.
There is another UK member who still competes in sprints with his Fuego

I think there is a couple of places in UK you can get parts- I'll check later and post.

Hope to see pics of your car when you get a chance.

Hi Waren,

Have not had much chance to work on the car since my last post, the weather here has been terrible!

What I have done is to remove the front wings only to reveal some rather large holes in the A posts, the rot also extends down to the front jacking points so some extensive time with the mig is on the cards.

Latest: I have just procured a really nice condition 85 TL model with next to no rot, my plan now is to rebuild this with the Turbo parts.

If the weather brightens up over the next week I will get out and take some pictures.

Hi Dale
You are taking the same approach as me then my car was a TL and is fitted with the Turbo running gear. Why is it the Turbo cars rot more?
Are you getting on well with the work now we have some good weather?
