Having owned and drive quite a few French cars including Simcas, Peugeot and Renault we were looking for a "fun" car that handled, stopped looked good and had reasonable performance.
As we are retired it also had to be relatively inexpensive and after much reading , net searching the Fuego was chosen.
We managed to find a 1986 registered, late 1985 manufactured GTX 2 litre one family owned car with a good service history with less then 200,000ks.
We had a full service, changed all belts just in case and very happy.
I like very much cars! In my family allways was Renault (couples of 12, Gordini and my Fuego), Citroen (2CV and 3CV), Chevrolet (Chevy 250).
Thoose are my favorites car manufacturers.
I like Subaru and Nissan too but here are very expensive. Way out of my league !!!

Note that your GTX Phase 2 is quite rare over here, since it was not sold in France. They preferred the Turbo at that moment.
