Hi guys, Im George from Slovakia (the heart of Europe Wink ).

I was interested in Fuegos ever since I was 15yo and when I was 17 I bought my first one a blue GTS from 1982. It was in mild condition but it had 220 000km and the chasis was pretty rusted.

The second one was a white GTX from 1985 which was not so rusted but it looked very poorly. It was a car that I bought very very cheaply and it ran for over a year every day without a single breakdown. I sold it to a guy who wanted to restore it, but I never heard of the car again.

The next one I bought was a 1.6Turbo from Switzerland which was a injection version. The engine was the same as the standard Turbo but it used 4point injection Bosch L-Jetronic instead of a carburator. Unlike the american versions, this one had recyclation of exhaust gases, intercooler and a blowoff valve (simple one, made of plastic). I bought the car in a very good condition but unfortunatly I crashed it lightly so I decided to paint the whole car. The color used is original renault hue named "Sephia Grey Metalic". I sold it about 3 years ago and I keep in touch with the guy who bought it from me.

The current Fuego I have is a yellow 1985 2,2i which is a quite rare engine here in europe. Its the same engine (J7T) used in Argentinian Fuegos, and later in R21, R25 as well as Safrane and other Renaults. Next week the whole car is going to be repainted with the same yellow color due to minor reparations needed on the body (mainly removing all rust, which is only some little spots on rear fenders but it needs to be done). Next I have a 1,6Turbo engine ready to be fitted into it with all the necessary changes like different breaks, transmission, rear axle, new springs and shocks,...etc... I would be glad to have it done by the summer to enjoy the car as much as possible Smile
